Loft Roll

Loft Roll

Loft Roll is primarily used for the thermal insulation of pitched roofs at ceiling level.

Performance

Thermal

Loft Roll has a thermal conductivity of 0.044W/mK

Fire

Loft Roll is classified as Euroclass A1 to BS EN 13501-1.

Description

Loft Roll is a flexible glass mineral wool quilt which is lightweight, resilient and non-combustible. The rolls are 1200mm wide.

Benefits

  • Lightweight and economic insulation quilt
  • Produced for use with timber joists at 400mm and 600mm centres
  • Partially perforated or fully cut
  • Provides thermal, acoustic and fire performance

Application

Loft Roll is primarily used for the thermal insulation of pitched roofs at ceiling level. However, it can also be used to thermally insulate floors and partitions, or wherever a lightweight mineral wool quilt is required. When used at ceiling level it is usually laid in two layers, with the first layer between the joists and the second layer over, and at right angles to the joists.

Environmental

Loft Roll represents no known threat to the environment and has zero Ozone Depletion Potential and zero Global Warming Potential.

ECOSE® Technology

Knauf Insulation mineral wool products with ECOSE® Technology benefit from a no added formaldehyde binder, which is up to 70% less energy intensive than traditional binders and is made from rapidly renewable bio-based materials instead of petroleum-based chemicals.

The technology has been developed for Knauf Insulation’s glass and rock mineral wool products, enhancing their environmental credentials without affecting the thermal, acoustic or fire performance. Insulation products made with ECOSE Technology contain no dye or artificial colours.
